[She laughs.]

Oh, don't! Six is so many!

Six nights of having the Ambassador's ear to bend as you will. There are some who would kill for the opportunity.

[fairforce]

Mm, but hopefully I'll be too busy enjoying myself. And the Ambassador will be too busy explaining the operas to be in between scenes.

[bouchonne]

Maker, that sounds like an amazing time.

[fairforce]

It does, doesn't it? I'm so pleased you thought to force me into going.

Are operas performed in Kirkwall?

[bouchonne]

Of course! This city is dull, but not that dull. And it certainly wasn't my intention to do a one-man performance of the classics; while that would be a far superior way to experience them, I don't have all the costumes.

[fairforce]

But that sounds so amusing! Surely you could improvise some costumes. We used to do plays on Funalis with old robes and things, and we were children--and not nearly as imaginative as I'm sure you are.

[bouchonne]

[ !!! ]

Lady Seeker! You used to be an actress? How could you withhold this vital information!

[fairforce]

I was not an actress! I was a child, standing as still as I could, pretending to be a tree.

[bouchonne]

An impossibly demanding role. I'd never even dream of a part as rigorous as tree.

[ There's an undeniable sort of warmth in his teasing. A wicked and irredeemable man, indeed. ]

[Indeed.]

Is it the standing still that stymies you, or the part where your back is to the audience for most of the scene?

[bouchonne]

[ Laughing - ]

And the being silent!

[fairforce]

[Tiffany laughs too.]

You're right, you'd make a terrible tree. I think that makes you an actor.

[bouchonne]

Alas, a dreadful calling! Especially since I've the build to play a tree. But this ineffable talent curses me to be a leading man.

I'd trust you to play a tree for me any day, though.

[fairforce]

Thank you. You're so kind, for a leading man. If you ever find yourself organizing a Funalis pageant, you can count on me to be your tree.

[bouchonne]

And in the meantime, I shall call upon you and spirit you away. Like a wicked fairy. But taking you to the theater instead of a masked ball.

So not very wicked, then.

Perhaps not. In this instance, at least.
