Byerly is a spy. This means two things: (1) he has access to more information than the average new character; (2) he may act in devious and underhanded ways against current PCs and NPCs. I do not do not want to overstep any bounds with this. Please fill out the permissions post below. If you do not fill it out, then I will assume all questions below are a blanket "no."




<b>Is there gossip about your character Byerly should know?</b> Byerly has an encyclopedic knowledge of gossip that would be circulated in Ferelden high society. He also most likely knows any gossip that has been circulated in Orlesian high society. He also plausibly might have heard things from the courts of the Northern nations. If there's anything about your character that might have reached his ear (beyond what's listed on your info page), please put it here. <b>Can he bring this up in private conversation with your character?</b> <b>Can he bring this up publicly?</b> <b>Is there anything about your character that would be listed in intelligence reports?</b> Ferelden intelligence keeps reports on members of the Inquisition. (Note that Ferelden intelligence isn't super-sophisticated yet; they would not have access to all your character's secrets. You can pick and choose which ones you want to be known.) Byerly would have read these reports before coming to the Inquisition. Is there gossip about your character Byerly should know? Oh dear god I am pretty sure you could make up no end of gossip about Loki off the top of your head and have more than half of it be true. For a fact he has dated Gwenaelle, they were terrors and absolute delights at parties. Loki was given his ship by an Orlesian noble. He has been a party animal for many, many years and dabbles in ~*~*~forbidden magics~*~*~ to astound and titillate party-goers. He also actually fully deals in forbidden magic. He is a slaver and while that is on the down-low, it is absolutely true that he has traded in slaves both in the north and south. His family wealth is built on pillaging and they absolutely do take prisoners of war. He is a total mama's boy or was until she was killed. He has been known to cavort with spirits in Rivain. He is absolutely lethal but his nickname "the serpent of marnas pell" was made by him because he thought it was funny because anyone who has ever actually seen him assassinate a man is currently dead also.

He has also been dating Lexie de la Fontaine for what is an alarming amount of time for both of them.

A heads up for me for OOC purposes would be bomb but yes, go for it, as you like.

Is there anything about your character that would be listed in intelligence reports? Loki is inexplicably south with his war-hero brother. Anything you want to put in reports I am bomb with, tbh. He is currently the Head of Special Acquisitions in the Inquisition which should alarm everyone. Every. One.

Can he bring this up in private conversation with your character? Oh please do. As you like.

Can he bring this up publicly? Same caveat as above. Just ooc heads up so I can schedule time to tag.

Would you be open to Byerly blackmailing your character? PFFFFF good god yes, if you can find anything that would openly shame him. I think Beleth has some shit on him that will openly shame him.

Would you be open to Byerly deceiving your character and tricking them into acting against Inquisition interests/their own interests? Uh, good luck, he is already only coincidentally working toward inquisition interest but turning on his own self interest will be hard...unless he uses Lexie. Just. A hint.

Would you be open to Byerly drugging and/or interrogating your character? Loki has the tolerance of a well norse god. Good luck. Also sounds kinky. Fuck me up.

Would you be open to Byerly uncovering new information about your character's past/present? Have at. There's some juicy stuff in there if you want to figure something out. Like the fact that Loki is actually Qunari.

Could they be cultivated into an intelligence asset for Ferelden - AHAHAHA I mean if it serves his purposes hell yeah he will give you intel. He'll even do it for free. Let's go.
