Byerly is a spy. This means two things: (1) he has access to more information than the average new character; (2) he may act in devious and underhanded ways against current PCs and NPCs. I do not do not want to overstep any bounds with this. Please fill out the permissions post below. If you do not fill it out, then I will assume all questions below are a blanket "no."




<b>Is there gossip about your character Byerly should know?</b> Byerly has an encyclopedic knowledge of gossip that would be circulated in Ferelden high society. He also most likely knows any gossip that has been circulated in Orlesian high society. He also plausibly might have heard things from the courts of the Northern nations. If there's anything about your character that might have reached his ear (beyond what's listed on your info page), please put it here. <b>Can he bring this up in private conversation with your character?</b> <b>Can he bring this up publicly?</b> <b>Is there anything about your character that would be listed in intelligence reports?</b> Ferelden intelligence keeps reports on members of the Inquisition. (Note that Ferelden intelligence isn't super-sophisticated yet; they would not have access to all your character's secrets. You can pick and choose which ones you want to be known.) Byerly would have read these reports before coming to the Inquisition. Is there gossip about your character Byerly should know? Possibly bastard son of the Reed family of the Bannorn. Wasn't he the one following Seeker Harris' coattails, you know, the one who got caught playing the Game in all the ways the Seekers don't approve of? Fairly certain he'd rather marry his dog before anyone else, but that's Fereldans for you, isn't it. Hates Templars with a particular passion.

Is there anything about your character that would be listed in intelligence reports? Not actually a bastard son, just uhhhh effectively disowned. There's a difference, okay. His sister's husband is currently set to inherit the family land.
Speaks Orlesian fluently, still clearly Fereldan accented but not terribly, unlike SOME PEOPLE.
Went traipsing with a Templar (a Ser Hayes, according to the reports) to trek through darkspawn-infested Ferelden, though that's when the reports lose track of them. Whatever happened and whyever it happened (aside from Fuck The Blight), Malcolm came out of it alive, the Templar did not.
Removed Cade Harimann from the Templar Order.
Before joining the Inquisition, had been searching for the Warden and the Champion, both to no avail. (The former because surprise the Warden's dead, the latter because who the fuck knows where Hawke went.)
