Byerly is a spy. This means two things: (1) he has access to more information than the average new character; (2) he may act in devious and underhanded ways against current PCs and NPCs. I do not do not want to overstep any bounds with this. Please fill out the permissions post below. If you do not fill it out, then I will assume all questions below are a blanket "no."

Can he bring this up publicly? Sure.
Is there anything about your character that would be listed in intelligence reports? To whatever extent tabs are kept on him, he's tended to disappear (due to going literally underground or otherwise where no one can follow) and pop up again all over for Warden Business, except in Ferelden, where he remains politely exiled and has only occasionally ignored that exile to visit. I've alluded to some Theirin Royalists still existing and making grumbling noises, and maybe more in recent months since it turned out Maric Theirin was alive all this time and they could try to claim any decision about the crown made before he was actually dead is invalid, but Alistair doesn't have any intentional contact with them. If the crown cares enough about the prospect of a next-gen Theirin heir to pay attention to his love life, they might know he's involved with an Orlesian elf, but it's subtle enough that people would have to care/intercept correspondence/etc. to figure it out, so maybe not.
Can he bring this up in private conversation with your character? Sure.
Can he bring this up publicly? Sure.
Would you be open to Byerly blackmailing your character? Sure.
Would you be open to Byerly deceiving your character and tricking them into acting against Inquisition interests/their own interests? Sure.
Would you be open to Byerly drugging and/or interrogating your character? Sure.
Would you be open to Byerly uncovering new information about your character's past/present? Sure.
Is your character interested in espionage/engaged in espionage? Nah.
Could they be cultivated into an intelligence asset for Ferelden - e.g., seduced and/or bribed into giving information willingly? Not really — seduction and bribery are both a no-go and if he had information relevant to Ferelden's security he would probably just volunteer it, as long as it didn't jeopardize anything Wardeny.
Is there anything else I should know? I love you.
